Meowfia
Brief
This was the Main team project that I made in 2nd Yr It was a arcade style fighting game which had 3 main areas.
What I Made
For the project I was responsible for the design of 2 levels the main street and one of the fighting arenas. I also designed all of the Ui elements and helped with the code implementation of multiple different systems such as coins that the player could collect.
Feedback
The feedback for this project was mostly good however we did not get as much done as we wanted to. For example we wanted to include more fighting levels but due to time and team issues we were unable to do so.

My Process
Game Idea
Meowfia was pitched as a openworld fighting game that woud take place in a city. In the city the palyer would have to fight various other animals to get their respect/family back.
What Went Well
Most of the games pre development went great. We produced the game and added a good amount of polish. We also took the game to the Games Expo 2024. It did quite well and we gained lots of feedback for improvements.
What Didnt Go Well
The start of the project had almost no issues however as we moved into full production it became clear that certain team members were not able to produce the volume and qaulity of work needed to meet our ambitious scope this led to parts of the game being cut and changed. We also had issues with commitment from some team members. However we did get along as a team.
What I Learnt
I learnt a lot from this project. Such as being able to lead a team of people. Even though I intially didnt want to lead the project. It became clear that it was needed.
I also deveolped my coding skills and made multiple working systems that were added to game. I learnt a lot about team managment and AGILE practices.
Software And Hardware Used
For this project we used unity 2022.1 as well as blender,maya and Adobe Photoshop.
